Tell Me Lies Season 3: Release Date, Cast, Plot and More

Great news Tell Me Lies season 3 is officially coming! Whether you’re a Scorpio, struggling with your mental health, or just living the rollercoaster of your teens and twenties, this season is sure to hit home. Soon, we’ll be staying up late to catch the latest episodes, falling right back into the grip of Stephen’s drama, and waking up with our minds racing, sleep-deprived and anxious. It’s intense, but I can’t wait to experience it all over again.

Tell Me Lies hooked me from the very first season, but it was the emotional chaos of season 2 that really left me reeling. Between Lucy and Stephen’s toxic relationship, the tragedy of Macy’s death, and the dark secrets that followed, the drama was nonstop. And as if that wasn’t enough, season 2 threw in a game-changing lie and an unsettling professor/student relationship that took things to a whole new level. After that wild finale, we’re all left craving more. So, when is Tell Me Lies season 3 finally coming? Here’s everything we know so far, from the release date to the cast and plot details.

Tell Me Lies Season 3 Officially Confirmed

On December 19, Variety reported that Hulu has officially confirmed a third season of Tell Me Lies. This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for — let’s celebrate!

In an interview with Variety in October 2024, creator Meaghan Oppenheimer hinted that the upcoming season would likely take the story forward with a time jump. She explained, “While there will still be some focus on 2008 to wrap up certain storylines, the new season will mostly shift to 2015.” This shift in timeline opens up plenty of fresh ground to explore. I’m definitely on board for diving into the next chapter of these characters’ lives!ward 2015,” she explained. Honestly, I’m all for the jump—there’s a lot to explore in the next phase of these characters’ lives!

Tell Me Lies Season 3 Release Date

Unfortunately, a premiere date for Season 3 hasn’t been confirmed yet. That said, Season 2 debuted almost two years after Season 1 wrapped up, so here’s hoping the wait won’t be as long this time. But only time will tell!

Who’s Returning for the Cast of Tell Me Lies Season 3?

While the official cast list for Tell Me Lies season 3 is still under wraps, I have a pretty good feeling about who will be returning. First off, it’s almost impossible to imagine the show without Grace Van Patten as Lucy and Jackson White as Stephen. Their complicated chemistry is central to the story, and fans are definitely eager to see more of their twisted dynamic. Additionally, we still have plenty of unanswered questions about the relationships between Stephen and Lydia, as well as Diana and Pippa. With that in mind, it seems likely that Natalee Linez (Lydia), Alicia Crowder (Diana), and Sonia Mena (Pippa) will be back to explore these connections further.

If Catherine Missal (Bree), Tom Ellis (Oliver), and Gabriella Pession (Marianne) aren’t back to continue their twisted but oddly compelling dynamic, I might just lose my mind. Their interactions have added so much depth to the story, and it would be a real shame if we didn’t get more. With the devastating events involving Wrigley still looming, I’m also expecting Spencer House to return as the likable athlete. And since Bree might be marrying Evan in 2015, it seems almost certain that Branden Cook will reprise his role as Stephen and Wrigley’s close friend. There’s a lot left to explore with these characters.

Plot Details for Tell Me Lies Season 3

Meaghan has teased that there will likely be a time jump, so we might not see the immediate fallout from the mess that was Season 2, Episode 8. Still, I’m hoping some of my biggest questions from the finale will be addressed. Will Oliver face any consequences for taking advantage of Bree, and will Marianne deal with the fallout from her twisted game with him? Are these three even still talking in 2015, or has everything crumbled? Does Bree actually follow through with her wedding, or does she bail on Evan and Lucy after that brutal audio message? And I’m dying to know—does Pippa ever report Chris, and will Lucy’s lie eventually tear apart their friendship?
